December 1, 2011
The City is continuing to take steps requiring more efficient buildings. Just this week, PSE installed new shower heads in a lower Queen Anne property for us.
We also just updated the windows in a West Seattle 1920’s era brick building. While it’s hard to see the old leaded windows go away, the improved comfort for the residents (both heat and noise) will help retention and, we’re anxious to see the positive impacts to the heating bill. Even in a perfect market, it’s nearly impossible to pass all the costs of a central heating system back to the residents, a better insulated building will help. Stay tune, we’ll let you know what we see when the heating bills arrive in the coming months…
