Don’t overlook the UW’s value in Seattle

The summer and come and largely gone and as with most summers, we saw a bevy of new renters and rental activity.

While Amazon and other obvious big employers are great drivers of apartment demand, it’s hard to overstate the importance of the UW on the city’s vitality. Jon Talton of the Seattle Times has some interesting statistics in the attached article quantifying the UW’s value and contemplating reasons why one of the city’s oligarchs can’t start another great school.
