Getting better with software

Last month Jennifer from our office attended Appfolio’s annual User Conference in Santa Barbara (yes the weather was great…). Appfolio is our back-end bookeeping and database software–generally they do a great job and continue generating great new additions. The conference helped us better understand how others are using Appfolio tools. Generally, it helped validate our belief that we’re pushing the envelope of their technology. Our work with on-line applications and leases is on the leading edge of their recent upgrades for example–and new residents love this. We also got some helpful information on how to be more efficient with year end items like 1099’s and end of year accounting. Aside from the great setting, this may not have been a conference many would have enjoyed, Jennifer did though and we will continue implementing new products we believe will help our residents and clients.
