Home price escalation means greater apartment demand

Recent home pricing data published in the Seattle Times shows some crazy annual increases in home prices. There continues to be an inadequate supply of homes and consequently, prices are escalating at record levels. Though hard to fully quantify, pricing people out of the housing market, will either force them to look more closely at apartments or seek other options for housing like condos, or areas farther out from the core.
