Pat on the Back

As many of you know, property management is frequently thankless work. Rarely do folks call or write a note saying “everything here is great, thank you…”. Our work is frequently spent jumping on complaints or reacting to resident problems and are appreciative of the rare compliments we get. Last week (while I was out of town I should note), Kay at the front desk received flowers from a resident “just because she is always so nice and cheerful”. We also received a letter from a resident moving out of a building we manage stating, “…I just wanted to thank you. The Chester was my first apartment alone and it’s been my humble abode for nearly 4 years now. It’s an awesome building with an outstanding community. Thanks to you and everyone that’s helped to make it so special.”

I’m not always one for patting ourselves on the back, but we sure try to do well and we really appreciate compliments like these.
