SEATTLE, Wash.- Just over two months ago, Redside Partners brought on a new leadership member with a new title to the maintenance team. This move marked a fresh chapter for the maintenance team and highlighted the continued evolution of their leadership
What was previously known as the Director of Maintenance is now officially the Director of Facilities which reflects the expanding responsibilities and long-term vision for the role. The new title also aligns with Redside’s focus on strong operations, asset planning, and a more proactive approach to property management. Christopher Skoglund has stepped into this role and is now overseeing all aspects of the maintenance department across the company’s portfolio.
With over a decade of multifamily experience, Skoglund brings not only a depth of technical knowledge but a strong passion for leadership, employee development, and structured process improvement. His career began with boots-on-the-ground maintenance roles and has grown to include senior positions such as Senior Maintenance Supervisor and Construction Manager at companies like Avenue 5, AMC, and Prem1er LLC. At Prem1er, he managed large-scale projects, worked directly with ownership groups on capital planning, and became proficient in platforms such as Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and Yardi.
Skoglund was recognized as a nominee for the Emerald Award for Maintenance Supervisor of the Year and once voted Rookie of the Year at Essex Property Trust. He also served as President of the Culture Club Ambassadors while at Avenue 5 which reinforces his dedication to workplace culture and team morale.
“I love being on the management side again,” he shared. “My short-term goal is to implement a structure that streamlines processes. I want something that supports both the day-to-day operations and long-term success of our maintenance teams.”
In his free time, he enjoys golfing, smoking meats on the grill, and spending time with his kids. Life is especially busy right now as he proudly supports his youngest daughter, who was recently accepted to the Mercer Island cheer team.
When asked about what sets him apart, Skoglund pointed out a consistently positive attitude which was confirmed by fellow leadership members.
“It’s not my original, but I believe it—one person can make a difference, but everyone can try,” he says.
Please welcome Christopher Skoglund to the Redside leadership team! This move showcases how Redside continues to grow, improve, and invest in the people and processes that make their communities thrive.
