Seattle apartment rents definitely up recently, but cooling down nowFriday, September 26th, 2014

As the link to the PI below notes, Seattle rents are up considerably over the last twelve months–9 percent as a matter of fact. Wow.
At the same time, we’ve never been able to pinpoint seasonal from economical variations in apartment demand. The two were obviously aligned over the summer; the market was incredibly hot until mid-August. Since then, it’s cooled down some. It’s great to have kids back in school and on a routine but that also means the seasonal apartment demand is trending down for the year.
