In 2008 the owners of an old tired restaurant in a building we managed wanted out of the business and they helped find a new restaurant that wanted to go into the quaint little space. The new restaurant had some strong folks who were financing it and we said “okay” and signed a lease with them. After buildnig out the space, Spinasse opened. We’re awfully fortnate they have been as successful as they have. And the food is just darn good. The awards and accolades they’ve received are numerous.
They are opening another concept downtown at Aragona and we wish them all the best in doing so. Yesterday’s Seattle Times featured long time Spinasse chef de cuisine Carrie Mashaney. She’s headed to Aragona but not before she makes a run at “Top Chef” on Bravo this fall.
