Using technology to get better renters

Great property management is largely about attending to details. To the extent we can screen and get great, or even good residents, we all have fewer details to attend to. Moreover, good residents do less damage to apartments. Our accounting system has now integrated rent payment history into resident’s files. Credit service agencies are then allowed to “pull” this data from our system as well as others in an effort to get more data on resident’s payment history. This a boon for all residents who have great payment history; it validates their records in paying rent. It’s also a boon for property managers in that we can more easily see who has a poor payment record.
