I sure hope our work on the north end of Broadway is about finished for the foreseeable future. Over the last half dozen years we have spent a ton of time working on 606 Broadway (old Jade Pagoda that’s now home to Bako and Lab5 Fitness), 618 Broadway (building where Poppy is) and across the street at 671 Broadway (where Rom Mai Thai and now Altura is).

I feel great about the two new residents that are opening their spaces this week, Altura ( www.facebook.com/pages/Altura-Restaurant/123161951102840) and Bako (www.bakoseattle.com ). We have worked with a lot of people over the last 5-6 years to help make a pretty big change to that end of Broadway. It started with refurbishment to the building where Poppy is now located, and in getting them as a resident. Earlier this year, The Confectional opened in the space just to the south of Poppy and Lab 5 Fitness opened in the southern half of the old Jade Pagoda building.

All along Tu and his staff at Rom Mai Thai have been doing great work. Now, after touring numerous residents through both spaces were Bako and Altura have landed, it’s exciting to see how these build-outs turned out and I’m hopeful will be great success stories for everybody involved.
